The plugin installs from the WordPress Plugin Directory, configures from your standard WooCommerce settings, and uses standard API key and webhook patterns for testing before launch.

During onboarding, Truemed's compliance team runs a SKU-level compliance review on your catalog to identify which products qualify under IRS rules. Approved products can be purchased with HSA/FSA dollars by qualified customers at checkout. Truemed works across health and wellness categories including supplements, sleep, fitness equipment, and recovery.

Not at checkout currently. The WooCommerce plugin doesn't support subscription products as a payment method at checkout. But subscription customers can still use HSA/FSA through a post-purchase reimbursement flow: after purchase, customers click a Truemed reimbursement link from your order confirmation page or email, complete the Truemed clinical intake, and if qualified receive a Letter of Medical Necessity to submit to their HSA/FSA administrator. Truemed provides the reimbursement link during onboarding.

Truemed orders behave like any other WooCommerce order. Refund from your standard admin, capture manually if your fulfillment workflow requires it, and rely on standard WooCommerce statuses that sync automatically via webhooks.

Truemed is the merchant of record on every HSA/FSA transaction, which means all clinical and regulatory liability sits with Truemed. Independent licensed healthcare providers review every Letter of Medical Necessity, and brands never touch the clinical or regulatory layer.
